4 Quotation Marks Using quotation marks: this is where you tell a search engine to give you pages where the words appear exactly in the order you specify. Try searching for “sled dogs Antarctica” 3,560 Sled dogs Antarctica is more like to be in an abbreviated description of the site so by refining the phrase the search may refer to web pages only. “sled dogs in Antarctica” 312

5 + and - + brings up pages that have all the words in them but they may not be together. - removes any sites with that word.
