The binary number system is a “base-2” number system. This means there are only two numerals 0 and 1.

Even numbers can be divided by 2. Zero is also considered an even number. Even numbers end with a 2,4,6,8, or 0.

Odd numbers are numbers that do not divide evenly by 2. They will have a remainder.

A prime number is any whole number greater than 1 that only has the number 1 and itself as factors.

A whole number is any number that does not have a decimal or fraction portion.
