Recommendations There is a need to fit LVBC proposed programs/ Concept notes within the Partner States programmes without compromising the visibility of LVBC Ensure that Catchment Management is a component in all WATSAN programmes; In order to leverage bigger funding, LVBC Project/Programme concepts/proposals should embrace a combination of Grants and Loans;

Audience LVBC’s mandate needs to be expanded to allow for enforcement of laws, standards and guidelines for purposes of harmonization and sustainability of the Lake Victoria Basin; IFC expressed willingness to work with LVBC on the Solid Waste Management programme and bring on board private sector;

Audience There is a need to conduct a socio-economic study on the satellite towns and Islands; There is a need to conduct impact assessment to the population on LVBC programs and projects AFD expressed willingness to work with LVBC on water quality programs on the shores of the LVB; “There is a good political commitment to that you cant find it elsewhere”
