5 A seaboard state, E Maryland is divided by Chesapeake Bay. The main part of the state is divided by the fall line, which runs between the upper end of Chesapeake Bay and Washington, D.C

6 Annapolis is a cosmopolitan American city with a small-town atmosphere. For more than 350 years it has played an integral part in national affairs. The city has long been the site of the U.S.
