It is getting polluted by toxins and harmful chemicals People are drinking the water which is very unsanitary Cremated bodies are being sprinkled across the water Dead bodies are being sent into the river People are using the Ganges as a public restroom There is no place for trash so it is ending up in the Ganges

The purpose of the toilets is to have a place for the people to use the restroom. The toilets would be on the edge of the water, so it would still feel like they were on the Ganges. These toilets would flow into a certain part of the river separated from this part by a retaining wall. The purpose of the water filter is to clean the water. There will be one worker on five filters. The clean water will be stored in garbage bins until most of the dirty water is gone. Once this happens they can put all of the clean water back in the Ganges. This will take a long time. The purpose of the water filter cartridges is to run the water filters. These will need to be replaced after 125 gallons have been filtered. The workers will exchange these. Once the water is mainly clean we will buy less and less cartridges.

The purpose of the Row Boats is to not pollute the water with dirty boats. There will be boat drivers at every boat. They can either pray, drink, or take a ride. On the murky side we will offer up boats that they can rent and get rid of the dead body. These will take up a major portion of our budget. As I mentioned earlier the garbage bins will be used for trash and also hold clean water until it is time to dump it. The garbage will be dumped into a landfill on the side of the river. There will be at least 200 workers for the many jobs. These include the water filters, the boats, and dumping the garbage. The rope will be used to separate the shallow water from the deep.

Year 1(2012): Set up retaining wall. Start buying and setting up filters, cartridges, and toilets. Year 2 (2013): Hire workers to start the filtering process and patrol river. Finish plumbing and make toilets usable. Year 3 (2014): Start boat rides. Make rental boats available. Re open the river.

Rope: $50,500 Garbage Bins: $111,760 Retaining Wall: $10,000 Row Boats: $206,999.50 Cartridges: $20,000 Price: $43,500 Workers: $180,000 (3,839.50 Indian Rupees)/ month Total: $622,759.50 Leftover money will be used for cartridges and workers pay.

With our plan we will clean the Ganges River up and restore it back to its original glorious state. In order to do that, we need workers that will be willing to do some dirty work and help us filter the water. If hired, you will be required to move to India in order to work for us. Your salary will be $2.50 a day, which, in India, is actually a lot in India. (128 rupees.) This will add up to $75 dollars a month, or 3840 rupees. Please come and work for us!

To the tune of Bob the Builder: Mother Ganges, Can we clean it? Mother Ganges, Yes we can! Our plan will put a smile on you face!!!!!!!
