Tex has many problems in the book including thing like: getting shot on his thumb and almost getting expelled from doing a prank with Johnny Collins involving blowing up the caps on his school’s typewriters during a testing week.

3. Tex’s Solutions
Tex’s solution to his first problem (getting shot on thumb) is that Johnny Collin’s dad called the ambulance and he was rushed to the hospital. Tex made a full recovery.
Tex’s solution to his second problem (almost getting expelled) is that Mason and Tex’s dad come to the school to straighten every thing out.
Tex learns that you can find a positive thing in every negative momement.
