Geography Geography is the study of people, their environment, and the resources available to them.

Latitude Latitude measures distance north or south of the Equator.

Longitude Longitude measures distance east or west of the Prime Meridian, an imaginary line that runs north to south through Greenwich, England.

Anthropology Anthropology is the study of the origins and development of people and their societies.

Culture Culture refers to the way of life of a society that is handed down from one generation to the next by learning and experience.

Archaeology Archaeology is a branch of anthropology that studies past people and cultures.

Historians Historians study how people lived in the past.

Nomads Nomads are people moving place to place as they followed game animals and ripening fruit.

Animism Animism is the belief in a spiritual world were the world was full of spirits and forces that might reside in animals, objects, or dreams.

Domesticate Domesticate, or tame, animals that were once hunted. Now hunters rounded them up into enclosures and provided people with a source of protein

Civilization Civilization is a complex, highly organized social order.

Polytheistic Polytheistic is the belief in many gods

Artisans Artisans are skilled craft workers, who made pottery or finely carved or woven goods

Empires Empires are a group of stats of territories controlled by one ruler

Cultural Diffusion Cultural Diffusion is the spread of ideas, customs, and technologies from one people to another. It can occurred through migration, trade and warfare.
