Background Lack of clarity in relation to where referrals with suspicious lymph nodes should be referred to. Supported by CQUIN scheme Pathway for head and neck remains the same. Axilla and groin - direct to test (no first outpatient or follow up). Dedicated referral form (in pack). Not a two week wait pathway, if cancer suspected use two week wait referral process Inform patient they may need a biopsy. Outcome fed back to referrer, if cancer found will need to refer on relevant two week wait pathway and inform the patient. 2
