The following sensors are monitored.

The key pad has 2 led's to show system status information. In the event that Smartbrake activates the user must enter their 4 digit user code to turn Smartbrake off and allow the driver to return to normal driving.

Smartbrake Reducing Accidents smartbrake.com.au User Commands The user can use the keypad to enter a number of special commands this allows the system to: Setup minimum speed, usually 7kph Setup user codes Enter diagnostic mode Enter maintenance mode Enter towing mode Activate Smartbrake for security mode

Smartbrake Reducing Accidents smartbrake.com.au Special Modes SmartBrake can be placed into several special modes these are needed for various situations. Towing mode – in towing mode Smartbrake will not activate no matter what the situation. However if the driver is sitting in the seat the alarm will sound continuously. This allows the vehicles to be towed with confidence. Maintenance mode – in maintenance mode Smartbrake will not activate no matter what the situation. However if the driver is sitting in the seat the alarm will sound continuously. This allows the vehicles to be worked on with confidence knowing the park brake will not activate.

When Smartbrake is activated the Park brakes can only be released by entering your 4 digit user code into the key pad. If the 4 digit code is not entered then the brakes will remain on and the vehicle cannot be moved. Smartbrake will allow the system to activate using a special user code that will then activate the Smartbrake system. Then the park brakes will be on and the vehicle cannot be moved until the user code is entered. Even if the Smartbrake electronics is destroyed by the would be thief. The brakes will remain on as the brake solenoid can only be released by a special control sequence from the Smartbrake control unit.

In the event of an accident the resulting damage and potential injury can be significant and in the long term costly. Do you know the real cost of a work place death?
