8. Quimper Center for pottery production ever since it was a part of the Roman empire. The people of Quimper are of Celtic origin and thought to be the founding fathers of La Bretagne. Faïence The most popular pottery depicts everyday life in Brittany.

9. Brest Used as a disembarking port for USA troops during WWI. Best known for Pont de Recouvrance, a 210 foot bridge that stretches across the river Penfeld. Oldest monuments are Chateau de Brest and the Tour Tanguy. The Tour Tanguy is a medevil tower that faces the castle Not many monuments due to bombing in WWII.

10. Nantes Historically part of La Bretagne, but now the capital of the Pays de la Loire region. Popular food is wine, seafood and cheese. In 1789, the separation of the historical provinces of France resulted in Brittany being split into 5 parts. Nantes landed in the Pays de la Loire region. Before the abolition of slavery, Nantes was the slave capital of France. Sights include many churches and museums.
