Food Facts Filipino’s LOVE their seafood! Mostly fish They like it HOT! (as in SPICY) RICE Often eaten at every meal Agriculture Farming: Rice, coconut, fish, corn

Superstitions Eat fruits with rice and meat Eating too much meat Don’t take food from a pregnant woman; or you will be sleepy

Meal Times Filipino’s often eat many small meals throughout the day and are often walking around a lot. So you won’t really see an overweight Filipino unless he didn’t follow those tricky superstitions. Family get togethers are common.

Popular Food in the Philippines Rice (white) Fried rice Fish or sea food in general Fruit Lumpia Eggplant Puto Soy sauce is important Pansit Chicken adobo Sour soup

Food Facts Now a days people tend to eat at different times usually in big proportions. TONS of fast food restaurants Drink a lot of pop or soda, or if you want poda. It’s all the same. Family get togethers

Superstitions: QUIZ TIME Spilt Salt? Don’t worry just… Plant beans before 9 am means? Dropped the knife in the kitchen, what should I do then? A kitchen should never be without ______. Don’t eat at fast food restuarants, you’ll become fat…especially at ______!!!

Meal Times Breakfast, Lunch, and Supper. Not always true though. Most families have picked up on T.V. dinners and eat snacks continuously throughout the day. Family get togethers are common as well.
