Norway, a Scandinavian country with about 4,525,000 inhabitants, has a long, narrow strip of land where the sea penetrates and draws a myriad of fjords, islands and islets.

Bergen, the 2nd. largest city in Norway after Oslo, has about 250,000 inhabitants, is surrounded by 7 mountains, and it´s considered the rainiest city in Europe

Aalessund - the world capital of cod. The city was fishing, and established itself as the largest export center of seafood from all over Norway

The great pioneers in the consumption of cod were the Vikings, who discovered the fish. They started to dry it outdoors (at the time there was no salt) until hard - losing about a fifth of its weight - in order to consume " it to pieces during their long sea voyages.
