Cross Product- Produces a vector as a product Favors orthogonal vectors Dot Product- Produces a scalar as a product Produces a scalar as a product Favors vectors with 0 degrees between them Favors vectors with 0 degrees between them
3
Dot Product- Since dot product gives us 1 for a 0 degree angle between vectors, 0 for a 90 degree angle between vectors, and other numbers in between for other angles [since 1 is the max for dot product] you can use dot product to find angles between vectors

Cross Product- To calculate the normal vectors of polygons, you consider two of the sides of the polygon as vectors and take their product. We use cross product to do this because the normal vector of a polygon is a vector [which is kind of obvious]. Normal Vectors of Polygons are used in computer graphics.
7
Cross Product- Moment is the tendency to have motion which is a vector. Moment of force [force is applied to a point B and goes around point A] is found by multiplying the distance between A and B by the force both of which are vectors. We use cross product since we end up with a vector as an answer.
