Has, Have, Had Language Objective: We will write complete sentences using has, have, or had to connect the subject to nouns in two forms: - declarative & - negative.

Parts of Speech: Verbs to have Present: Past: Singular subject: has had Plural subject/you/I: have Modals: does, do did

Application (Why?): We use has and have to show possession in the present. We use had to show possession in the past.

Formulas & Examples Declarative Subject + has/have/had + finisher (noun/noun phrase). Example Zoo animals have large cages so that they can roam freely. Negative Subject + does/do did + not + have + finisher (noun/noun phrase). Example Last year, the museum’s exhibits did not have protective glass windows.
