I am the smallest species of the fox to be found in America, weighing only 5 pounds I don’t need freshwater to survive, since it’s in my food. My large ears might help dissipate body heat and detect tiny noises/sounds. I’m one of a kind- an umbrella species(protecting my habitat will save other animals too)! I can move between 30 different dens and roam 9 miles in search of food at night. Carrizo Plain is where the largest kit fox, my relative, lives. nocturnal animals
