BILLING MANAGER 3.10 HIGHLIGHTS
47624: Clients / Matters > Exception Rates Client/Matter Exception Rate setups now allow Max Amount and % dev or $ dev or rate code This enhancement will now allow firms to be able to specify % deviation or amount deviation in conjunction with a maximum rate on the same Exception Rate setup row and effective date. This new setup and feature will allow the client/matter exception rates to first calculate the deviated rate (% Dev or Amt Dev) and then if that amount is greater than a maximum rate, the system would cap it at that amount. If the deviation is less than the maximum amount, then the program will use the deviated rate. Previously, the program would allow you to only enter one type of exception rate for an effective date. In the Example shown on this slide, the Timekeeper normally charges an hour but for this client there is a -10% exception with a maximum amount of $ set. This enhancement only applies accessing the Client/Matter master files maintenance for Timekeeper and Title exception rates. There are exclusions to this enhancement as explained in the following program areas: Rate Code exceptions for Matter/Client by Timekeeper/Title will not be included as an option to be used with Max Rate. Matter Exception Rates > Global Modify Client>Global Rates Change Matter/Client Costcode exceptions rates. Note: The Matter Tools Options below do still apply and are in effect if set to TRUE: Matter Max Rate overrides Client Max Rate Matter non-maximum Exception Rates Override Client Maximum Rate THOMSON REUTERS ELITE

44116 and : Matters > Reopen Default ‘Open’ status when re-opening a single closed matter as well as Global Matter Modify> Reopen Matters tab Previously, the “Change To:” status defaults to “OI” and clients had to change the “Change To:” status every time they used the Change Matter Status application. This enhancement lets firm designate the “Change To:” default status on the new Tools Option and reduce the need to change the “Change To:” status every time they use the feature. Also, Matter Global Modify now has a new “Reopen Matters” tab in order to globally Reopen closed matters and also uses the new Firm Level Tools Option to set the “Change To” default reopen status. Note: Audit Modification, if turned ON for Matter, will track the Reopen changes accordingly. Note: If a user uses the new “Reopen Matters” tab in Matter Global Modify to make changes, they cannot make changes on any of the other tabs (General, Multi-Timekeeper, UDFs, Timecard/Cost UDFs) at the same time. Users must use the other tab functions on separate runs. The new tab in Matter Global Modify to Reopen Matters only allows the matters status to be set to a matter Open status. If the user wants to close multiple matters, then they need to use the Global Close application located from the “Matter” menu while in Matter Maintenance, which has multiple options in selecting matters to be closed globally. 76693: Time Entry / Modify Billed Hours for a BNC timecard can be preserved with new option A new FIRM-level Time Entry Tools Option has been added in order to preserve Billed Hours for BNC Timecards. If set to True, then BNC status timecards will preserve the billed hours as entered and set only the billed rate and billed amount equal to 0.00 (Enterprise 3.10 only.) The program areas (listed below) that set/change timecard status to/from BNC will set the timecard billed hours equal to worked hours (tbillhrs=tworkhrs) and only the timecard bill rate and bill amount (tbillrt and tbilldol) get set to The history tables will accordingly be updated for BNC timecards allowing for timecard billed hours (tbillhrs) not equal to 0.00. The billed hours (auditt.aubihr) on the standard TM audit records that get created by BNC timecards will be updated accordingly. If set to FALSE (the Default), then BNC status timecards will use the original programming logic that sets the timecard's billed hours, billed rate and billed amount equal to 0.00. The objective is to keep billed hours preserved as entered for BNC status timecards and only set to zero the timecard bill rate and bill amount field. This allows for tracking the hours billed even if there is no charge to the client for those BNC status timecard hours. This new Tools Option applies to Timecards only (not Costs). The Proforma Edit “Divide” and "Combine" functions are not designed to divide BNC timecards. Therefore, no changes have been made to the timecard "Divide" or "Combine" functionality with regard to BNC status timecards. RELATED PRODUCTS IMPACTED BY AND INTEGRATED BY THE NEW TOOLS OPTION: WebView Timecard ADD/MODIFY for BNC status: Front-end/Backend (Issue number for WebView ) Paperless Proforma Timecard ADD/MODIFY for BNC status: Front-end/Backend (Issue number for Paperless Proforma ) Web Services: The change in Timeload takes care of any place this system adds timecards via Web Services. 91438: Proforma Edit > Costs “Cost Rate Adjust” has been added to Cost Modify “Rate Adjust” has been added to the Action drop-down in Proforma Edit > Cost Modify in order to provide clients with the ability to revalue Finalized (Unbilled) costs for changes in Cost Code Rates and Exception Rates similar to the Timecard “Rate Adjust” feature now available in Proforma Edit Time Modify. Cost entries can be queried/selected and revalued to the latest current cost code rates and to any newly updated client/matter cost exception rates that apply (similar to the Timecard “Rate Adjust” feature in Proforma Edit> Time Modify.) Two new Audit codes were added to track this new Cost “Rate Adjust” processing (CRADJ=Cost Rate Adjust billable) AND (CRADJNB=Cost Rate Adjust Non-Billable cards) that have been integrated into Audit Finalize, the Cost Reconciliation and the Cost Code Reconciliation. PREREQUISITE USER ACCESS: The user’s “Billing Manager” User Access row 137 “Proforma - Cost Modify” value must be both > SYS level and >= 25 to allow access to “Rate Adjust” in the Action drop-down in Proforma Edit - Cost Modify. PROACCESS: Proforma-Edit > Utilities > Options/Preferences > select the user’s “Access List” and check/uncheck “6850 Proforma Edit - Cost Modify – Rate Adjust” to include/exclude “Rate Adjust” from the Action drop-down in Proforma Edit > Cost Modify. If Display Mode is checked, then “Cost Rate Adjust” is allowed in the Action drop-down. If Display Mode is unchecked, then “Cost Rate Adjust” is disallowed in the Action drop-down. : Proforma Edit > Cost Transfer Prompt for "Destination" matter Task/Activity codes where each matter has different task/activity validation list with different Task/Activity code values Cost Transfer has been enhanced to prompt for "Destination" matter Task/Activity codes for transfer of costs between matters where each matter has different task/activity validation list with different Task/Activity code values (RETROFIT 3.9) In Cost Transfer, Enterprise has added a pop-up box that allows the user to enter the destination matter's task/activity codes, similar to how it works in Timecard Transfer, and also includes the same one-to-many and many-to-one logic involving different task/activity codes for the matters involved. Application areas are: Proforma Edit > Modify > Totals/Master Files > Cost Detail Proforma Edit > Joint Modify > Cost Detail Proforma Edit > Joint Modify > Matters > M Matter/Totals Master Files > Cost Detail Proforma Edit > Cost Modify Previously, in Cost Transfer where the task list on both matters is required but have different task lists, transferring Cost in Proforma Edit resulted in the existing task code on the "From" matter getting moved to the "Destination" matter. This made the task code invalid on the "Destination" matter because the Task Code was not a valid value in the task list for that "Destination" matter. THOMSON REUTERS ELITE

54977/51689: Billing Inquiry > Open Invoices & Ledger History Drill down to payment details Billing Inquiry A new Drill Down on Payments has been added on the Open Invoices & Ledger History form within Billing Inquiry> Invoice Summary/ Matter Summary/ Group Summary. The Payment Detail form selects elements of the Payment ledger records selecting by both criteria: Payment Document Number and Payment date. The payment amounts are summarized by field dimensions displayed: Matter, Client, Currency (matter currency), Invoice (applied to), Amount and Payment Description. This Payment Detail spreadsheet data does not include Direct to GL Payments or multi-payor breakdown By design, this new drilldown on Payments always includes all ledger records with the same Payment Document and Payment Date including reversal ledger records, i.e., ledger records with lzero=R, and paid invoices (lzero=Y). Be aware that in Billing Inquiry OPEN INVOICES and LEDGER HISTORY, the initial server calls, do not include reversals or paid invoices. (Amounts on the Payment Detail drill-down may not match up to OPEN INVOICES and/or ledger history amounts at this point). Users are then required to select the options Include Reversals and Include Paid Invoices, if available, and then click GO, as a second step in order view data that would balance between Payment Detail and Open Invoices/Ledger History. Therefore: In Open Invoices, after the initial Open Invoices form displays, users must select INCLUDE REVERSALS and INCLUDE PAID INVOICES and then click GO to display all amounts including Reversals and Paid Invoices. The user should then drill-down on Payments to be able to see the Open Invoice data applicable to the drill-down Payment detail spreadsheet form. In Ledger History, after the Initial Ledger History form displays, the user must select INCLUDE REVERSALS and then click GO to display all amounts including reversals. The user should then drill-down on Payments to be able to see the Ledger History data applicable to the drill-down Payment Detail spreadsheet form. This same feature has been added to WebView 5.5 THOMSON REUTERS ELITE

Billing Inquiry > Matter Summary 9 digit Credit Notes invoice number now displays in Open Invoices and Ledger History Billing Inquiry>Open Invoices and Ledger History (both matter and client levels) Proforma-Edit - Credit Notes: Ledger table LDOCUMNT field expanded from 8 to 9 characters Previously, the invoice number displayed as an asterisk. when a credit note was processed in Proforma Edit with a credit ledger code, the payment portion of the transaction populated ledger.linvoice with the original invoice and ledger.ldocumnt (max 8) was populated with the Credit Note invoice number (max 9). Now that the ledger.ldocumnt field expanded from 8 to 9 characters, the full 9 digit invoice number can be stored in the 9 character ledger.ldocumnt field and displays properly In Billing Inquiry> Open Invoices. Accordingly, the following reports are enhanced to allow for the display of the 9 character “Document” field. Ledger Summary Report (AD LEDSM) Ledger Table Report (CE LEDGR) Credits Report (AC CRED) This enhancement was done with the sole intent to alleviate the problem described above for Credit Notes created in Proforma Edit, specifically entered when a Ledger Code and Invoice Number are in the 9-digit range. Note: The front-end Credits Application Document field was not expanded to allow 9-character Document entry for Payments/Write-offs. WebView was reviewed to ensure the display of the expanded ledger.ldocumnt field. THOMSON REUTERS ELITE

Billing Inquiry > Recap of Cost Detail Improve user experience when copying to Excel with new option Billing Inquiry > Statistics Size of field to enter custom queries has been increased Billing Inquiry ADDED a new FIRM level “Billing Inquiry” Tools Option for Matter Summary > Recap of Cost Detail narratives in order to Remove Carriage Returns and Line Feeds in the Matter Summary “Recap of Cost Detail” Narratives (RETROFIT 3.9, 3.8) The reports produced by clients are done by copying the cost detail to an Excel document and used as exhibits for court filings, as well as provided to clients as documentation. The change would allow proper formatting when these cost records are copied from the Inquiry cost detail screen to an Excel worksheet. Without this formatting being correct, it requires manual correction of the Excel worksheet to allow proper presentation of the information. The process is used by our clients on a daily basis. Timekeeper Statistics and Matter Statistics display User-Defined fields (calculations) that can be modified to accommodate a firm's Month-to-Date and Year-to-Date statistic needs. This record must be added to the LCFLIST table prior to implementing on laser check templates. Trust Checks are not included within the scope of this enhancement. Other than the 1099 Listing, Vendor Listing, Vendor Labels, Voucher Register and Check Register, no other AP reports display this data. NOTE: This new field can also be indexed and searched on by Conflicts Manager. The new Vendor DBA (Doing Business As) field will concatenate in with the Vendor Name field for indexing and searches. The new Payee DBA field will concatenate in with the Vendor Payee Name field for indexing and searches. Users will automatically search on the DBA field without modification to the setups. A Conflicts search will now yield results for Vendor DBA in the same field as Vendor Name and for Vendor Payee DBA in the same field as Payee Name. The Vendor, Vendor Narrative and Vendor Payee detail screens as well as the standard Conflicts reports will display the new DBA information. The filter queries for Vendor and Vendor Payee have been modified to allow filtering on the DBA fields. The word DBA will separate the DBA name from the vendor/payee name. For this reason, the word DBA should not be typed in to the name or the DBA fields in Accounts Payable. THOMSON REUTERS ELITE

Checks > Global Check Batch Reset Quickly clear all check preview tables This enhancement provides a simple form that allows users to quickly clear all check preview tables. In previous functionality, in order to create new check runs, a user had to go in and manually clear/re-set each previewed check batch one by one in Check Payment Selection. This enhancement gives clients the option to clear all check payment batch selections when they do not know which batch is holding a voucher and disallowing a check batch from being run or vouchers to be selected. Previously, if the client did not know which check batches need to be cleared, they would need to call Elite Support to have support personnel clear all the tables from the backend. This enhancement gives the client the option to perform this operation themselves via the application and without logging a support call. Users will be allowed to clear check batches by Bank ID, which will let global firms allow users to be working in Enterprise on a different bank while the check batch clearing process is run. A new form, Global Check Batch Reset, has been provided under the Checks menu in the Enterprise AP/GL menu: To clear check batches for a bank: Enter the Bank ID in the Bank ID field. Check the “Reset All Check Preview Batches” check box. Note: This extra step has been provided in order to prevent accidental deletion of check batches, if the user then clicks OK in order to close the form. Click OK. The user is warned that all check batches will be reset. Click OK on the warning message. All interim check batches will be reset. It is recommended that users other than the Administrator should not be working in AP/GL Check forms at the time this utility is run; otherwise, they run the risk of their check runs being terminated and/or deleted. Indexing Limit data to be indexed by date Ability to Limit Data Being Indexed by rb_fulcrum Based on Date Added date filter options for indexed fields in order to limit data being indexed. This allows the firm to maintain a search database of relevant data and eliminate data chosen as old and obsolete. Requires you run rb_fulcrum if you make any changes to this screen. Indexing less data should cause rb_fulcrum indexing to take a shorter amount of time. However, it may take longer if a compound join is needed to filter out data. Overall, less obsolete data being indexed helps keep searches more relevant. This filter is for initial indexing only (rb_fulcrum). If ‘older’, filtered out, data is modified within Enterprise; it will then be indexed as current, relevant, data through the idxpost process. THOMSON REUTERS ELITE

Related Parties/Prospective/Intake Multiple links to same matter, client, case, or vendor using same relationship code available with new option Multiple links to same matter, client, case, or vendor using same relationship code available with new option. Previously logic presented a problem for clients depending on their process for handling declined searches. Some clients will create an administrative matter for declined searches and link all parties for all declined searches to that matter. This aids in future cleanup of such names. If the same party is involved in multiple declined searches, the party cannot be finalized as it cannot be linked to that same matter more than one time. This enhancement will address this issue and allow these clients to create such “duplicate” links. To enable multiple links using the same Relationship code: Steps: Conflicts Manager > Setup > General > ensure ‘Allow Multiple Links? [Y/N]:’ is Y > change ‘Allow Multiple Links w/Same Rel Code?:’ is set to Y. In Related Party, Prospective and Intake, users will be able to enter additional links to the same Matter/Client/Case/Vendor using the same Relationship code. Current related party link logic does not allow the same related party to be linked to the same client or matter multiple times with the same relationship code. This is true regardless of the “Allow Multiple Links?” setting (confmisc.cmmultlink). THOMSON REUTERS ELITE

WEBVIEW 5.5 HIGHLIGHTS Requires .NET 4.0 Upgrades
105189: Automated remodeling of pages from the default WebView group ‘wv_default’ Pages remodeled are indicated in the data step log Changed the logic and description of vboption ‘wv_backend_version’ to be compatible with Enterprise 3.10 release version – MAKE SURE YOU SET IT TO 3100 and not 310. Wintertree (Spell check dll) Upgraded to version 1.9 There is no screen change with respect to this enhancement. However, WebView 5.5 is upgraded and tested for compatibility with .NET framework The application pool ‘.Net 4.0 App Pool’ will get automatically created and pointed to .NET framework 4.0 at the time installation. Automated remodeling of pages under various WebView groups for the new changes from the default WebView group ‘wv_default’ Previously, when a new field is added to a WebView page, the change is only reflected in the default WebView group ‘wv_default’ during installation. User had to manually design the page to incorporate the change to his/her WebView group. Now we do the import of new controls added to wv_default group to each group. That means, the existing customizations (field placements) for each group will stay unaltered and the new items will get added to the shown area at the exact location where they are on wv_default (display in red). Pages remodeled are indicated in the data step log There is an exception -- when there is a change to the existing control in a WebView page, for example, the type of the field changed from drop down to text, it is not automatically remodeled during data step. Users still need to remodel their pages manually to reflect the changes. However, these types of changes are very rare and will be indicated as such in the release notes as they have been previously. Changed the logic and description of vboption wv_backend_version to be compatible with Enterprise 3.10 release version The value for the previous Enterprise version remains same. For 3.10 it should read as 3100. THOMSON REUTERS ELITE
