2. Catalonia covers an area of 32,114 km² and has an official population of 7,210,508. It borders France and Andorra to the north, Aragon to the west, the Valencian Community to the south, and the Mediterranean Sea to the east (580 km coastline). Official languages are Catalan, Spanish and Aranese. The capital city is Barcelona. Catalonia is divided into forty-one comarques that are part, in turn, of four provinces: Barcelona, Tarragona, Lleida, and Girona. Its territory corresponds to most of the historical territory of the former Principality of Catalonia.

3. The inland part of Catalonia is hotter and drier in summer. Temperature may reach 35 °C, some days even 40 °C. Nights are cooler there than at the coast with the temperature of around 14° to 16 °C. Fog is not uncommon in valleys and plains, it can be especially resilient and with freezing drizzle episodes during winter by the Segre and other river valleys.

4. Alcover is a town in Catalonia. Polish students lived in this place for 10 days. This is a very beautiful and quiet region. Surface of Alcover totals 46,00 km².

5. Barcelona is the capital and most populous city of the Autonomous Community of Catalonia and the second largest city in Spain. In Barcelona there are a lot of historical places. The most interesting place for me is Nou Camp - stadion FC Barcelona’s. The stadion is very big. Another interesting place is Sagrada Família, which has been under construction since 1882, and is still financed by private donations. This is a very big church.

6. Port Aventura is a family park of entertainment situated near the Alcover. There are a lot of attractions: Dragon Khan, Stampida, Furius Baco, Hurakan Condor. For me the best was Dragon Khan because it is very fast.

7. Tarragona is a city located in the south of Catalonia and east of Spain, by the Mediterranean Sea. It is the capital of the Spanish province of the same name and the capital of the Catalan comarca Tarragonès. There are a lot of historical places for example amphitheater.
