Geographical position: Romania is situated in Southeastern Europe and it borders on Ukraine (North and East), the Republic of Moldavia (East), Hungary (West and North-West), Serbia (South-East), and Bulgaria (South). The country has an area of 238.391 km 2. Flag. red, yellow and blue vertical color bands, with blue on the hoist side.

Banknotes currently circulating are: 1, 5, 10, 50, 100, 200 and 500 RON. Coins currently circulating are : 1, 5, 10 and 50 bani. Official holidays 1 st of December – National Day of Romania; 1 st and 2 nd of January – New Year; 1 st of May – Labor day; The first and second day of Easter; 25 th and 26 th of December – Christmas
