I. Jesus is a King A. How good it is to have Jesus as our king, if we can always have meal for our stomach. 15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself. (John 6:15)

I. Jesus is a King A. How good it is to have Jesus as our king, if we can always have meal for our stomach. 26 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27 Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval." 28 Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" 29 Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." (John 6:26-29)

I. Jesus is a King B. We desire a king that requires no change in our part but his part. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna! " "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is the King of Israel!" (John 12:13)

25 耶和華啊,求你拯救!耶和華啊,求你使我們亨 通! 26 奉耶和華名來的是應當稱頌的!我們從耶和 華的殿中為你們祝福! ( 詩 118:25-26) 25 O LORD, save us; O LORD, grant us success. 26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you. (Ps 118:25-26) hx'îyli«c.h; hw"©hy>÷ aN"ïa") aN"+ h['îyvi«Ah hw"hy>â aN"åa' WTT Psalm 118:25 `hw")hy> tyBeîmi ~k,ªWnk.r:(Be÷ hw"+hy> ~veäB. aB'h;â %WråB' 26 `aN") 約翰福音 John 12:13 等於是說, “O God, Save the King of Israel”.

I. Jesus is a King C. Jesus died as a King of the Truth, King of the Eternal Kingdom. Jesus will not change. We have to change. 19 Pilate had a notice prepared and fastened to the cross. It read: JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS. (John 19:19)

36 Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jews. But now my kingdom is from another place." 37 "You are a king, then!" said Pilate. Jesus answered, "You are right in saying I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." (John 18:36- 37)

II. Jesus is a Miracle Worker A. Responses after experiencing miracles 1. Betraying Jesus—The paralytic in Bethesda Pool 2 Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. 3 Here a great number of disabled people used to lie--the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. 4 5 One who was there had been an invalid for thirty- eight years. (John 5:2-5)

II. Jesus is a Miracle Worker 6 When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?" 7 "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me." 8 Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." 9 At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath, (John 5:6-9)

II. Jesus is a Miracle Worker A. Responses after experiencing miracles 1. Betraying Jesus—The paralytic in Bethesda Pool 14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you." 15 The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well. (John 5:14-15)

II. Jesus is a Miracle Worker A. Responses after experiencing miracles 2. The Ungrateful Nine with leprosy 11 Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee. 12 As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance 13 and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have pity on us!" (Luke 17:11-13)

14 When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed. 15 One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice. 16 He threw himself at Jesus‘ feet and thanked him--and he was a Samaritan. 17 Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” 19 Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.” (Luke 17:14-19)

II. Jesus is a Miracle Worker A. Responses after experiencing miracles 3. The believers who get the biggest benefits. “Isn’t this the beggar?” “Yes, it is he.” “No, it only looks like him.” “Yes, yes, it is me!” (John 9:9). “Who opened your eyes?” “A man who is called Jesus!” “Where is he?” “I don’t know.” (9:11-12).

Who is Jesus? How can he heal in Sabbath?! Pharisees could not agree with one another, they called the blind man, “What do you have to say about him?” “A Prophet” (John 9:17). Pharisees would not accept this answer, so they called upon the parents of the blind man. They refused to get involved. Second time the Pharisees asked the blind man, "Give glory to God, " they said. "We know this man is a sinner." (John 9:24b) 25 He replied, "Whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!" (John 9:25)

30 The man answered, "Now that is remarkable! You don't know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will. 32 Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. 33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing." (John 9:30-33) 35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?" 36 "Who is he, sir?" the man asked. "Tell me so that I may believe in him." 37 Jesus said, "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you." 38 Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him. (John 9:35-38)

II. Jesus is a Miracle Worker B. Miracles demand us to believe in Christ. 30 Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. (John 20:30-31) Unless you drive away the witness, otherwise, you have to believe.

III. A Jew 52 They replied, "Are you from Galilee, too? Look into it, and you will find that a prophet does not come out of Galilee." (John 7:52) Famous Jews Carl Marx Jesus Christ You have to humble yourself.

Conclusion Jesus is the king. A king of truth and of eternal kingdom. We have to change, not he. Jesus is a miracle worker. We have to believe in Him. We need to respect this Jew.

Heavenly Father, I believe that I am a sinner. I accept Jesus died on the cross for my sins. Jesus is my Savior, please give me eternal life. Please guide me in my life tomorrow. Pray in Jesus’ name! Amen!
