11 11 Greek FDI in the United States Recent Greenfield Investment Announcements in Other Industries : Source: fDi Markets October 2009: Intralot, which designs and develops hardware and software for lottery gaming systems, established a distribution operation in Deerfield Township, Ohio. The $14.5 million dollar operation will employ 60 staff. December 2009: HelioSphera, a Greece-based solar manufacturer announced that it will construct a new $500m photovoltaics module factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. July 2011: Upstream, a global mobile marketing technology and solutions provider, has opened its new United States headquarters in Silicon Valley, located in Redwood City, California.
