Kent Grass Roots Projects which support community life, with a particular interest in those that improve the life chances of disadvantaged children and young people in Kent and Medway. Up to £5,000

Crown Charitable Trust Volunteer led groups working in Herne Bay with preference for projects supporting children and young people. Up to £5,000

The Little Cheyne Court Wind Farm Community Fund for community organisation, including social enterprises based within 10 km radius of the Farm. Grants may be used to support a one-off activity, ongoing activities or for minor capital expenditure eg Grants from £500 to £5,000 Purchase equipment Produce publicity material Run a pilot projectAssist with running costs Minor capital worksoutings

Supports projects that directly benefit children with physical or learning disabilities Strong preference for projects that can demonstrate a direct benefit to children with disabilities Requires a clear indication of how many disabled children will benefit Will consider grants for individual children Grants from: £250 to £3,000

The Fund supports projects that work with young and/or disadvantaged people achieve their potential Areas of interest: Capital expenditure Strategic IT projects Strategic organisational developments Grants from: £5,000 to £20,000

Capital expenditure – Includes equipment, new construction, renovation, and expansion Strategic IT projects – Includes investments in hardware/software (not replacement of existing) Strategic organisational developments – including mergers and planning initiatives All of the above need to be critical to sustainability, achieving mission and forming new transformational paths

The Brook Trust Fund The Brook Trust Fund is interested in projects that achieve positive social outcomes Areas of particular interest are older people, ex- offenders, women’s groups and parenting programmes Applications accepted for activities, projects or equipment Currently interested in projects with below £100,000 turnover Grants from: £500 to £5,000

Community projects which help vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Medway reach their potential. Selected Medway projects will be invited to present to members of the Medway 100 Club at a Giving Circle event. Applications are welcome for a stand-alone project or a tangible element of a bigger project. Up to £1,500

The Phillips Fund The aim of The Phillips Fund is to protect, conserve and enhance the use and character of Kent’s rural landscape and its communities. Planting of trees and hedging Regeneration of hedgerows or village ponds Planting flower meadows Please note that the hire/purchase/funding of landscaping equipment will not be considered Grants from: £250 to £2,000

Loans from £10,000 to £100,000 Aims to support existing and newly created social enterprises in Kent Set up primarily as a recyclable loan fund Must be trading and have clear social purpose and community benefit Majority of profits & assets reinvested in business or social purpose

How much money does it lend? An average loan is £4,000 but we can lend up to £10,000 for a start-up business Is it only for start-up businesses? No. We will lend to existing businesses where it can be demonstrated that a loan will create new jobs or save existing ones
