Genesis 20 tells us that Abraham prayed and God healed Abimelech’s wife who was barren

18. Why is healing so prominent? It shows us the heart of God
It is not just about God’s power
It reveals God’s love and compassion

19. Matthew 14
13 When Jesus heard what had happened, he withdrew by boat privately to a solitary place. Hearing of this, the crowds followed him on foot from the towns When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

20. 15 As evening approached, the disciples came to him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late. Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.”
16 Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

21. Healing is one of the many ways God reveals his compassionate nature
In order to experience God’s compassion there are some things we must do

A need to have faith
A firm and clear belief in Jesus
And an understanding that Jesus will do what Jesus will do
