13 Accessing Electronic Materials Most materials can be accessed from all computers on the Aalto network via the Nelli portal –A few of the materials require passwords (eg. ITU-R fulltext); ask the faculty library for assistance Materials can be used off-campus by logging into the Nelli portal with UNIX-id and service password –Excluding materials requiring passwords or client programs (ITU-R, Crossfire Beilstein (Chem.)

19 Accessing through TEEMU Ebrary ebooks have SFX-linking –Works also on remote connections –Requires log in –Problems with links -> go through Nelli Other ebooks have direct links –No remote access through TEEMU –Go to Nelli -> ebooks -> select correct service and log in –TEEMU call number: TKK-service, eg. TKK-ellibs

21 Terms of Use – Prohobited Use Prohibited use : –Systematic or considerable copying or saving of resources –Commercial use of resources –Use of programs which automatically search or rake for resources (spider, crawler, robot) –Modifying, applying, moving, translating or creating resources based on the resources provided by the service or any other action violating the copyright restrictions of the resources –Creating a new collection from the materials provided by the service by systematically saving the whole or parts of the material.

22 Terms of Use – Ebooks and Standards Ebooks: –Printing and saving restrictions (10-20 pp.) –Please respect the terms set by the publisher! Standards: –No copying allowed of full printed standards –Printing of electronic SFS standards only allowed for teachers and staff –Teachers may only give short extracts to students
