4 KTH Computational Science and Engineering Center KCSE and Visualization KCSE represents researchers at KTH in Computational Science and Engineering. Things in common: -Large scale computer simulations -Large amount of data -Scientific visualization usually not sophisticated, desktops Large potential gains from a visualization effort Goals: -Advanced scientific visualization used systematically by CSE researchers at KTH -New ways to analyze and understand results of computer simulations. -Enable new discoveries? Connections on the research side (e.g. ray tracing for other scientific problems) KCSE a natural partner in VIC.
