CLK – Bits are transferred on each rising edge of the clock pulse CLK_INH – The clock inhibit is available to “pause” the system from reading the inputs. We keep it at ground so the system reads the inputs at all times SERIAL – This is the serial input to the first piece, which will be zero because there is no piece before it to read an output from SHIFT_LOAD – When the signal is low it reads all of the input values, when it goes high it outputs each bit; one per clock pulse OUTPUT – This is taken at the output of the last piece. It reads the information from piece 4, then 3, then 2, then 1; reading from the least significant bit to the most significant bit (R to L). Rising edge Terminology for Data Output Process
