In the year 2065… By Tyler Baity

Personal life In the year 2065 I’ll be 73 years old. In this point in my life I hope I’m retired. I hope I have finished medical school and finished my career as a medical examiner. I’ll probably have a family…of some kind. My daily life will be changed by the invention of robotic house assistants. At 73 I doubt I’ll be taking care of myself. I’ll the robot do yard work (if we still have yard work), and any other household jobs.

My house will probably be filled with computer screens and personal computers. Using webcams or internet telephone to talk to people. Maybe even holographic messages. My health will probably be kept in good condition because of the advances in medicine that have taken place between now and 2065. Like robotic limbs when my human ones are too weak, or robotic eyes and ears when my normal ones are too weak to function. All vehicles will be environmentally friendly and the troubles that come from obtaining and using fuel will cease.

Education Children will no longer need to be transported to the school facility. Using screens and webcams, school can happen at the leisure of the students. Classes will be scheduled into 3 different time frames. Morning classes will function at around 8 A.M. Afternoon school will start at around 3 P.M. Night school will start at 10 P.M. This schedule is so that students will have the choice of when in the day they attend school, no more waking up early after a long night of studying. You could just cram all night then take the night class the next day.

The World The world rules in the form several governments working within the rules of one. Each government can do as it pleases as long as it follows the guidelines of the world government. War will not be allowed to wage, instead the fighting countries will be brought before the world government and a trial will take place so a settlement can be made without violence and equal trade on all behalfs.

Jobs All jobs for humans will be safe and comfortable. Many jobs may not even require you to leave your house (teacher). All jobs that put peoples life in daily danger will be overtaken by robot workers. That way no workers will ever be injured, and any robots that are damaged will be repaired or discarded.

New discoveries Scientists will have discovered new life on distant planets. The life will resemble bacteria. We will take sample of this bacteria and learn how it lives, reproduces, and how it can evolve. This bacteria may be useful in the medical field. It may even be the cure for cancer or AIDS.

Music All music will be made with synthesizers and vocal programs. By taking a sample of the singers voice, they will be able to change the pitch and put in lyrics, changing the way the sample sounds to make syllables and auditable words. That way if a singer gets a throat sickness that permanently damages their vocal cords they can still work in the music business.

Nuclear If all the worlds countries act as one and make peace with each other then a nuclear war or holocaust isn’t expected. If they refuse to cooperate with each other then we will all launch nukes at each other and eventually kill off our whole race.

Robots Robots will be replacing humans in dangerous jobs and in normals stores. Robots will act as cashiers and janitors, doing the jobs no one wants. Robots will also be used by police officers (since robots don’t have morals) to help catch criminals. But, this also means that criminals can use robots, so while this new technology brings forth advancements in crime fighting, it also brings forth advancements in crime.

Literature Books will remain the same, but a new device will be able to function as all books. You will have the option to buy books on portable usb drives and download the book onto the device. Its basically a iPod for books.
