GLOBALSTART Initiatives for Effective Dissemination Salamanca 23rd-24th June, 2005
2
GLOBALSTART DEFINITION… …in terms of dissemination The DESIGN, VALIDATION and IMPLEMENTATION of a scheme for the stimulation and creation of global university start-ups. The creation of a new methodology… … In the beginning there is a THEORY / CONCEPT… …then applied to practice through analysis of NEEDS and SUPPLY … TOOLS created in order to BRIDGE the GAP. …and finally DISSEMINATE the RESULTS???
3
What are we disseminating? concept / results? Who are we disseminating to? …other innovation professionals? …the companies themselves? …policy makers? (Is it feasible/advisable to target all three?) AND… to leaders or laggards? Why are we disseminating? to fullfill the project brief? evangelism? to sustain the project beyond its lifetime… OBVIOUS BUT NECESSARY QUESTIONS…
4
SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH DISSEMINATION
5
THEREFORE DISSEMINATION… …needs to be… flexible proactive two-way sustainable …shouldn’t be bound by the final results… … develops during the course of the project.
