Dr. Brad Harrington, ©2009 Student comments on course (2009) This course was the best course I have ever taken. Professor Harrington is a true asset to BC. This course should be a mandatory seminar for all MBA graduates. The topic is extremely important. The class was extremely well organized and the teacher did a great job of providing variety to class that met from 9-5 each day. This course really made me reevaluate my current job situation and made me think about the career path I was on. The exercises we completed gave substance to the thoughts and feelings I had been experiencing.

Dr. Brad Harrington, ©2009 Student comments on course (2009) The day long sessions were great, they enabled the class to get to know each other and therefore provide more in-depth assistance to their team members. Great foundation to help students determine best path to their ideal career. The format was great. Being able to share with a small group of peers on such a personal level was one of the best parts of the class. Make this a required class. Every student should take the time to complete this - it is SO important. Fantastic course! Very well structured and taught.

Dr. Brad Harrington, ©2009 Student comments on course (2009) The companion book, the thought provoking, reflective exercises, & the enthusiasm of the professor for subject were all strengths of class. Course provided extremely meaningful insight. It’s approach was truly unique. We were encouraged to assess ourselves in order to get a clear picture of what we hope to get out of our careers. One of the most beneficial classes I have taken at BC & would recommend it to everyone I know. This is a great course for student completing their MBA and mapping out their future.

Dr. Brad Harrington, ©2009 Student comments on professor (2009) The class was extremely well organized. Professor did great job of providing variety to 9-5 class. Without doubt, Prof. Harrington is the strength of this course. His enthusiasm & teaching style keep the class tuned in from beginning to end. I feel he is one of the best teachers at the Carroll School. Prof. Harrington was excellent and the topics he covered were extremely relevant. Prof. Harrington was very engaging. He set the tone at the beginning. We understood there was a lot of work through self-discovery.

Dr. Brad Harrington, ©2009 Student comments on professor (2009) Prof. Harrington is extremely knowledgeable and is always willing to help out any of his students. Thank you for offering this class an opportunity to work with this professor – definite value added to my program at Boston College. Professor achieved excellent balance between slides/ lecture, small group work, and class discussion. Prof. Harrington is a great instructor and an underutilized resource at BC. Everyone should make time to do this. If you can do it with an Prof. Harrington it will be much better.
16
Dr. Brad Harrington, ©2009 Would you recommend this class? (2009) Absolutely – this course should be part of the core MP requirements. The materials derived from the course will be invaluable to me in the future. Absolutely. I think this course with Prof. Harrington should be a requirement. I have nothing but praise for the course. Based on the real world material, this course should be a requirement for all undergrad and grad programs. I definitely would recommend this class and think it should be a required course … you learn so much about yourself. Great course! More work than I thought going in but definitely worth it! This course was the best course I have ever taken, and Professor Harrington is a true asset to BC.

Dr. Brad Harrington, ©2009 Student comments on course (2003-2008) This course should be part of the MBA core-curriculum Most useful & interesting course I’ve taken in this program Amazing course which should be part of the management practices offering Great class, probably one of the better electives offered Honestly the only course I didn’t want to end – we could have used even longer to really develop this topic I really loved this course and felt I got so much out of it I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is considering marriage and children while pursuing a career Very enjoyable, an excellent experience

Dr. Brad Harrington, ©2009 Student comments on professor (2003-2008) Brad is a great speaker, he keeps the class engaged and he knows his subject very well. Prof. Harrington is a great lecturer. He did a great job explaining the material and keeping the class engaged. Excellent professor. Great industry experience and academic knowledge. Exceptionally good at engaging the class in discussion. Great experiential teaching - great job of demonstrating how to apply theory. Made theories practical. Prof. Harrington brings a blend of real world & academic experience that he intertwines into class. His personality and class structure make the time go by quickly

Dr. Brad Harrington, ©2009 Student comments on professor (2003-2008) I was told I would be doing myself a disservice graduating from BC’s MBA program without taking Prof. Harrington - would love to take another course with him. Professor Harrington was the best professor I have had at BC. I did not realize when I signed up for the class, but quickly realized that almost 90% of the students had signed up for the course because of the instructor. Harrington was a referred professor and not at all disappointing. His enthusiasm for the subject while being in touch with reality of corporate life is a unique mix at Boston College. He is an asset to the Carroll School of Management and the MBA program
