Objectives: Students will be able to...
Recite the first paragraph of The Creed with 100% accuracy. Formulate an articulate answer when asked a question about the meaning of The Creed. Demonstrate proper articulation and pronunciation techniques.

Confidence and Enthusiasm
Today is the Day! Everyone should be prepared to say paragraph 1 of The Creed! Remember the speaking techniques we discussed last class: Eye Contact Confidence and Enthusiasm Inflection Volume Tempo

Who’s 1st? Remember you are being graded on accuracy, speaking, and response to creed question.

Pronunciation: The form and accent a speaker gives to the syllables of a word. Pronunciation of many words in the English language can be tricky. Practice saying all 5 paragraphs of The Creed (The Creed handout). Underline or note words if they are not 100% sure about the pronunciation. Work with each other or check the dictionary to get the proper pronunciation for any words you aren’t sure of. Make sure you notice the word agriculturists in the1st paragraph!

Articulation Practice
Use Creed - HO4 Practice articulation with tongue twisters. Try each tongue twister out first slowly and then as fast as they can. Who wants to share their ability to articulate clearly? Draw one tongue twister out of the can.
