p lans for 2011 (II) 4 Metadata for object description standards MARCXML Metadata for authority description standards MARCXML First metadata schema for bib items Bibliographical web references exported into RDF, XML, etc Resource description and access (work – expression – manifestation – item) Conceptual reference model to translate locally into a datamodel, a format. MARC format is limited, so better encapsulated in XML tags. But not every kind of document needs full FRBR Some standards to follow
