The Doors clip The Doors were one of the most influential rock groups of the 60’s The lead singer was an alcoholic, drug abuser…but just so happened to be an amazing song writer and poet! His lyrics to his song are actually taught in English classes and college courses Back in the 50’s and 60’s, it was every musicians dream to play live on the Ed Sullivan Show.

The Doors clip The Doors were invited to perform their famous song Light My Fire, live on the Ed Sullivan show However, one of the lyrics of the song says, “Girl, we couldn’t get much higher.” This was problem because it references drugs, and during the 50’s and 60’s television had strict censorship laws.
