Introductory Thoughts Revelation was written to Christians in the Roman province of Asia to give them hope and courage in the face of persecution It dramatically tells the story of the triumph of good over evil The final statement to these suffering saints The end of the story is their victory through the grace of Jesus Christ

Introductory Thoughts Genesis 1:1 tells us that we are made by God Genesis 3 tells us how man separated himself from God Revelation 22:21 tells us of God’s grace through Jesus Christ The ultimate solution to our sin problem Romans 7:24-8:1 Neither truth, without the other, will help for us

God’s Grace Supplies the Triumph Over Sin Through Jesus Christ The Bible begins with God and ends with Jesus The God of our creation is also the God of our salvation – Hebrews 2:10 Some believe in God but do not believe in Jesus Christ Some would like to have salvation in God without Jesus Christ Some would accept the grace of God if they could have it without Jesus Christ Outside of Christ, there is no salvation – Acts 4:12

The Victory of God in Christ is Ultimately the Victory of Grace Grace is the last word, the end of the story of salvation Without denying that God’s grace is conditional, we need to emphasize God’s grace in the scheme of redemption Ephesians 2:8

Closing Admonitions Revelation 1:8 We also need to be able to say Amen as John does By saying Amen we are saying we will obey all of God’s word, not just the parts we feel are relevant We need to develop the attitude of Samuel “Speak, Lord, for your servant hears” Have you appropriated God’s Grace?
