2. What is CLIL? It means Content and Language Integrated Learning and it is a methodology which aims at having students to learn any school subject such as History, Science or Information Technology using a foreign language as the vehicular language. This helps students to learn content and language at the same time.

3. What is the purpose of this short CLIL module? Students will learn how to create a digital communications tool – the blog – to introduce their school and the activities and projects they carry out at school. Then students will continue exchanging ideas and opinions with their European partners using other tools such as fora, e-mail and videoconferences.

4. What is the difference between a website and … A website is a set of interconnected webpages, usually including a homepage, generally located on the same server, and prepared and maintained as a collection of information by a person, group, or organization.

5. … a blog? … a blog? A blog is an online diary, a personal chronological log of thoughts published on a webpage; also called Weblog = Web + log

6. What is the difference between a website and a blog? A website may incorporate many elements, including but not limited to a blog, a forum, static pages, e-commerce solutions. So the basic difference between a blog and a website is that on a website your main page remains static (it is constantly changing in case of a blog) and other pages contain mostly static information. On blogs — at least on majority of blogs — you can leave comments and interact with bloggers and other visitors.

7. What is a forum? A forum is a public meeting place for open discussion of various topics. Online, a forum may also be referred to as a bulletin board or discussion area. Fora come in all shapes and sizes. The main objective is to provide an area where users can interact with questions, answers and discussions on a given topic. Forum use will vary from forum to forum. In general you are required to create an online identity (ID or nickname) to be used on the forum. While some fora are free, others have a paid membership requirement.

8. SAFE SURFING Internet etiquette, or netiquette guides us in proper behavior on the Internet. There are widely accepted rules of behavior to follow when you're online. It is very important to learn and follow these rules. Sometimes the online world can feel "pretend" because you cannot see the person with whom you are communicating. So, it is very important to remember that you are dealing with "real" people online and you should use your very best manners - just as you would at home or at school.

9. SAFE SURFING As a newbie (someone new to the Internet) you do not want to venture into cyberspace until you are familiar with the acceptable rules of Internet behavior. There are a few tips that can help you feel more comfortable with the new situations cyberspace will throw at you. With a little practice you can become a responsible Netizen (Internet citizen).

10. USEFUL TIPS Do unto others, as you'd have others do unto you. Be polite and courteous at all times. Do not TYPE ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS for emphasis. IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE SHOUTING. Remember that the written word is hard to interpret. Always identify yourself.

11. USEFUL TIPS  Be careful not to use rude or bad language online. Many providers will terminate your account.  Don't break any laws. When you're on the net, follow the same rules of behavior that you would in real life.  Don't flame. Do not send rude or offensive e-mails or postings. It's bad manners and can get seriously out of hand (flame wars). If you are flamed in a forum or chat room, or if you receive hateful e-mail, let your parents or teachers know.

12. USEFUL TIPS  Make a good impression. Remember that the written word is the only way you can represent yourself online, so spelling and grammar count.  Be patient with newcomers.  Don't send confidential information in your mail... others may be able to read/access it  Respect the privacy of others... don't share someone's email address without their permission

13. How can we create a blog? We don’t have to be web designers and developers to create our blog0. You can either use one of the freely available blogging platforms to post your blog or you can register your own domain name and then publish your blog under that domain name.
