Pros Social platform Web 2.0 is a platform where students can network to discuss issues that they are passionate about. Encourages use of multiple intelligences Interpersonal intelligence (social) is favored, as well as well as Auditory and Visual learners students can work on strengthening their ways of learning. Proper use of Technology In most cases students have access to this technology at home, so teachers need to educate students on using the technology properly.

Cons Inequity of Internet Access If Web 2.0 tools can succeed in the education of our students, then student access to the same higher speed broadband no matter where they live in Australia. Harder to Moderate Because students will be accessing the internet teachers and schools could have difficulties moderating what students access and create on the internet.

Blogs Blogs are websites usually maintained by an individual - used to express ideas discuss issues Blogs are wonderful tools for communication.

wikis There are many ways in which Wikis can be used in the classroom,and many more that we haven't thought of yet. (Warlick,2003) Wikis Can be used for collaboration on group assignments

Podcasts & vodcasts Podcasting is an exciting new audio medium that gives educators and students the freedom to listen to the audio program of their choice at the time of their choice. Podcasting is a new word created by joining two words and their meanings – iPod and Broadcasting. Is good for auditory and visual learning to take place.

Proving Authority In this day and age, we must teach students not to accept information as the written law - but to Prove the authority of the information that they find. eg. Using Wikipedia
