The boundary between 2 air masses that have different temperatures, humidity's, pressures.

Fronts – 4 types possible; 1. Cold Front: Cold air pushes under warm air forcing it up.

Warm air rises. Cold air replaces the warm air.

Violent storms are associated with cold fronts.

2. Warm Fronts: Warm air overtakes a cold air mass & moves over it.

Rain showers usually accompany a warm front.

3. Occluded Front: Cool air masses from both sides meet. Warm air caught in the middle gets pushed up.

4. Stationary front: Cold air meets warm air & no movement occurs. This can cause wind and rain for many days.
