Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

9 Motivated to be Holy Anticipate the Lord’s Return Anticipate the Lord’s Return – Christ is coming – He promised – We are told to “watch” – be alert and ready – 2 Peter 3:10-11 – 2 Peter 3:10-11 - 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. 11 Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

10 Motivated to be Holy Know that we will stand in Judgment Know that we will stand in Judgment 2 Corinthians 5:10 – We will give an account – 2 Corinthians 5:10 - For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Acts 17:31 – All will be judged – Acts 17:31 - because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.

11 Motivated to be Holy Gratitude for the death of Christ Gratitude for the death of Christ Titus 2:14 – Jesus died so we could be different – Titus 2:14 - who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. 1 Corinthians 11:26 – Communion should remind us that we are different – 1 Corinthians 11:26 - For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

12 Conclusion: Song – Song – When I survey the wondrous cross – Were the whole realm of nature mine That were a present far too small, Love so amazing, so divine, Demands my soul, my life, my all COMFORM – The world wants us to COMFORM TRANSFORM – God wants us to TRANSFORM Which will you decide?
