MTC Purpose The purpose of the missionary training centers grows out of the plan of salvation. It is to help missionaries prepare to: – “invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end” In support of this purpose, all involved at a missionary training center participate in one or more of the following: –Care of Missionaries. –Motivation and Personal Growth –Classroom Instruction. –Helping Struggling Missionaries. –Preparation for the Mission Field. –Instructional Development.
