5 5 Students “intend” one thing, but actual outcomes are different. This warrants deeper investigation.

6 The student surcharge and excess fee revenues have supported our growth in tough budget times. 6

7 Steady growth among under-represented minorities strengthens CSN. 7

8 International Student Trend As a cohort of non-resident enrollment, international enrollments are trending down. 8

9 9 Distance Education enrollment is increasing at a strong rate.

10 As a possible state metric, retention rates are headed in the right direction. 10

12 Actual transfers to UNLV have been uneven and may parallel ease of articulation. 12

18  We have developed an ombudsperson role for CSN.  Legal counsel will be compliance officer also. Many regulatory and policy obligations require that attention.  We have begun various reviews of developmental education.  Establishing a “CSN Leaders” program for individuals interested in cc leadership.  Assessing customer satisfaction through systematic study this fall  Establishing an All-College Committee on Innovation and the Future 18
