3 Strategy #1: Decrease D, F, W Rate Decrease the D, F, W rate for students in ACCTNG 210 43.6% rate for Fall 2010 Required lab added to course in Fall 2011 25% or fewer by 2016

4 Strategy #2: Student Advising Increase student satisfaction with academic advising through master course schedule Improved transparency of course scheduling EBI results: 49% are very or moderately satisfied Increase to 70% satisfaction rate by 2016 Establish and publicize one-year master schedule each year and work toward a multi-year master by 2016

5 Strategy #3: Career Services Increase student satisfaction with Career Services EBI results: 29% are very or moderately satisfied with assistance in job search Establish a full-service career services operation for Bloch School Dependent upon fundraising 50% satisfaction rate by 2016

6 Strategy #4: Freshmen Retention Increase retention of first-time Bloch freshmen Better engage students through MGT 100, Foundations of Business and College Life, a class for Bloch freshmen Updated curriculum that increases focus on successful retention strategies Between 2003-2007, an average of 69.6% of Bloch freshmen were retained to sophomore year 78.5% of students in MGT 100 in F09 were retained to F10 85% retention rate by 2016, for students taking MGT 100

7 Strategy #5: Study Abroad Increase student participation in Bloch Study Abroad 1.6% of current Bloch undergrads participate in Study Abroad Change in curriculum (Study Abroad can be counted as core requirement); need increase in financial aid and scholarships Benefits to student: global citizenship; strong interaction with faculty and other students

8 Strategy #6: Student Involvement Increase student participation in Bloch student organizations No current tracking; begin tracking in Spring 2011 Improve student engagement in Bloch School Work with Student Involvement to set goals
