Why: Tasmanian Devils have been protected by the Australian government since 1941, but are still considered endangered. Many suffer from DFTD or Devil Facial Tumor Disease and this has slowed the recovery of these animals. How: By selecting several different Tasmanian Devils from different strains (non-relational), we can breed them in captivity before reintroducing them into the wild.
