Interesting Facts Water falls to the ground as rain. Some of the water soaks into the ground. The rest flows into streams, rivers and lakes. Just like all scientists, hydrologists use evidence to answer their questions Chris Cianfrani is a water Scientist Called a hydrologist. Chris Cianfrani also helps College students learn science.

Words I learned investiate-to study or try to learn about something. Page 5 Investigation-An attempt to find out about something. page 5 Hydrologist-A scientist who studies water. page 6 Runoff-The movement on liquid water. page 7 Precipatation-Liquid or solid Water that Falls to earth. Page 7

Connections To Self… We both LOVE Water too. To the world around us… I live in a forest with a creek. To other stories...the setting in the story “the frog prince” is a pond.

Interesting Facts I learned about Lynn Burse the meteorologist. pages 3-9 A tornado is a very dangerous spinning tube. Pages 14-15 A Tornado once hit a school and lots of people got injured. Pages 18-21 Most of all we learned about Tornados. Pages 3-23

Words I learned Meteorologist- a scientist who studies weather Observation- information that you gather with your five senses Affect- to change something Object- a thing that can be seen or touched Thermometer- a tool for measuring the temperature

Connections To what I already know… I don’t know because they aren’t in my area. To another story I read… In the little mermaid there is a thunderstorm which could cause a tornado. To the world around me… Tornados usually go in more of a rural area.
