2. Let’s make a set of tangrams: a listening and learning to follow directions activity
Practice their listening skills
Review and discuss geometrical shapes and their properties
Develop visualization and spacial skills

3. What can we do with the tangram pieces?
Put them back into a square.
Use them to make other shapes.
Connect them to Chinese culture and history.
Have the students create their own shapes.
Explore area, perimeter.
Explore fractions.
Problem solve.
