4. Ph.D. Economy Model The Department is granted 1 / 3 scholarships after the agreed target for the number of PhDs. All income, including “taxameter” is allotted to the department after deduction of overhead to the Rector in accordance with current egulations. Once a year - October 1 – the number of enrolled active PhDs is calculated and the faculty Ph.D. funding regulated accordingly. The department pay15,000 kroner per student per year as compensation for faculty expenses for PhD administration. The department pay all other costs for PhD students, including travel, environmental change, course fees etc. The Department creates a unique analysis number for each Ph.D. student, so costs can be individually tracked and documented. 6. Allocation of globalization money Basic funding for Danish universities 2006-2012 (mil. kr.) Includes extra money for PhD programs (forslag til lov om tillægsbevillinger for 2010.) In 2011 270 mil is added and in 2012 133 mill. Is added as ordinary basic funding to universities. The funds will ensure continued growth of the universities' basic funding. The extra funding is allocated to the universities based on the model “Basic resources for results” previously agreed between the parties.
