3 It’s About Us: Employee Experience Survey First opportunity for academic and support staff to provide feedback about what it is like to work at the U of M. Designed by U of M representatives in consultation with Probe Research Inc. Survey questions which emerged from previous qualitative process included: Two-pronged opinion statements measuring importance of and agreement on 31 factors across 7 dimensions. Eight open-ended questions. Five statements measuring attitudes toward the workplace. One question measuring overall job satisfaction.

4 It’s About Us: Employee Experience Survey Conducted between June 15 – 30, 2011. 1440 out of 4725 eligible employees responded to this survey (30.5% response rate). Overall survey response rate for many higher education institutions is about 20%. 31.5% of respondents provided verbatim comments to the open-ended questions (3634 units of entry).
