2  Who is the target audience? ◦ Primary/secondary ◦ Visual effects in editing can enhance this ◦ Font size throughout (larger for ‘senior’ audience; fun font for elementary school) ◦ Does it reflect the brand?

3  Gather information for credits as you go

4  Review storyboard/shot list

6  Make sure all video assets are in consistent ‘containing’ folder  If you move location of any of these, the program will ask you for the location when you open the file

7  Review storyboard/shot list

8  LS, MS, CU, MCU, XCU (more is better)  Moving the audience into the scene  Matching action  Close ups of action (watch for continuity)

9  Dip to black/white ‘transition’ will aid in communicating change in scene  Fade up audio effective for ‘nat sound’ (natural sound)

12  Edit  Review ◦ Check for consistency/flow ◦ Have others review (post to YouTube: ‘unlisted’)  Cut  Re-Edit  Review again  Check for typos
