2 CHALLENGES IN MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION 1- COMPETITION: domestic market - National competition (a great deal of foundation courses offered) - Free courses (subsidised by companies and the regional council) - Difficulty to find companies in a crisis environment - High quality recruitment to achieve good academic results - Our involvment towards the region and companies

3 3 Major Challenges/ Private Business School in France 1.COMPETITION: domestic market & on a worldwide scale -National competition : Private vs Public (competition with universities in France where there is no tution fee for students). -Cultural challenge in France for private universities as most of the Population in France think that « Education is and has to be free ». -Growing competition with European and non European universities (American universities, Asian universities…).

4 CHALLENGES IN MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION Organisation of pedagogical study trips in foreign countries - RUSSIA - USA - EUROPE Implementation of European programs and internships in the courses - LEONARDO / PARTNERSHIP - LEONARDO MOBILITY - ERASMUS Participation of the partner companies

5 Major Challenges/ Private school in France 2.Find new adapted communication TOOLS - Students belong to a new generation: « e-generation » or « y generation ». We have to adapt our communication tools to their needs & wants. Perform in a fast growing high tech environment

6 Major Challenges/ Private school in France 3.For private schools: find new FUNDS ($) -Students’ tuition fees are not sufficient; in France; need to convince companies to finance our programs -The « government tax system » to support us might disappear in a few years. Need to find sponsors -If Based on the American Model (Business schools financed but companies: ie: The Fox Business School, Temple) : difficult to implement it with strong cultural differences
