The result of the research taught kids at a young age about different fruits and vegetables and why they are good for them.

Vegetables • celery with peanut butter. Fruits • apples and cheese. • peaches and yogurt. Other recipes for Vegetables- broccoli, cauliflower and carrot sticks with flavored cottage cheese dip. Fruit-rasins mixed with sunflower seeds or nuts or bananas and peanut butter

Daily Intake Everyday kids need a healthy dose of every food group to maintain good eating habits and nutrition. Daily intake for kids 6-11 years old: Fruits: 1 ½ Cups Vegetables: 2 ½ cups To provide all the needed nutrient children’s meals should include a variety of foods from each food group in amount suited to their appetites and needs.

Ways to get Daily Servings.
For Fruits: For Vegetables: 1 piece of fruit or melon wedge 1/2 cup of chopped raw or cooked veggies 3/4 cup of juice 1 cup raw leafy greens 1/2 canned fruit 3/4 dried fruit Physical Activity is also key in well rounded nutrition: motivate your kids to be active trough games and sports!!

Clean Peel Cut up fruits and vegetables While shopping, allow children to pick out a new fruit or vegetable to try later at home. Offer a choice of fruits for lunch or let kids decide on the dinner vegetables or what goes into salads.

FV Process In studies it shows that kids that are shown vegetables more often and different kinds of vegetables can raise their liking also it is important because of the way kids lean to fruits more easily then vegetables. Teaching Kids Expose them to FV. They choose Eat more FV. Kids get FV in their Diet Kids get the FV nutrition they need.
