What is weather? Set of all phenomena occurring at a given time in the atmosphere. example: wind, atmospheric pressure, humidity

Climate Sum of weather conditions for a region over a long period of time.

Front a boundary between two air masses of different density, moisture content, or temperature.

Stationary front Front does not move or barely moves. Has similar characteristics to warm fronts.

Cold Front Replace warm air with cold air. Associated with severe weather

Warm Front Warm air replaces cold air. Long light showers typically, some severe weather.

Occluded front Mixing of air. Cold fronts move faster than warm fronts. Can have characteristics of either cold or warm fronts
