Mock Presentations 1.Give your presentation to your group members and ask them to time and evaluate it for you 2.Afterwards, you should take about 4 minutes to coach the presenter and give feedback. Presenters: inform your team on what points in particular you want feedback. Don’t forget to show your visual presentation to your team—flip through your Prezi while you talk, just as you will do during presentations. Coaches: take notice of the speakers’ audibility, whether the topic is clear to you, and look for things that could be improved in terms of content, organization, transitions, expression, body posture, visual presentation, etc. After each presenter is done, take 4 minutes to offer feedback and guidance.

Rubric for Unit Project 50% In-class Presentation 25% Presentation Evaluation of body language (confidence, eye contact, supporting gestures) and articulation (volume, clarity, tone, pace, transitions, stays on time …) 25% Organization Intuitive and logical structure: intro, main body, outro. No digressions. Attention grabber at the beginning and mentioning of thesis early on. 50% Research and Prezi Design 25% Content Presentation has strong thesis and adequate argumentation to support it. Identifies sources. Explains why topic is timely and why contribution is original. 25% Design Quality of Prezi proves that student has developed proficiency in presentation design and understands functionality of Prezi software. Creatively exhausts Prezi’s main features: use of various media types, rotation, zoom, arrangement.

5. Independent Work: Pick What You Need Use the rest of this lesson to Continue your research; Improve your Prezi; Improve your script, bullet points, …; Find more images, videos, sounds, …; Brainstorm with your group members; Have mini-conferences with me if needed.

6. Homework for Monday after Thanksgiving Finalize your Prezi presentation for in-class grading. Use the grading rubric to evaluate your progress. Begin revising your Portfolio contents using the feedback you’ve received from peers and from me.
