6 COUNCIL NOVEMBER 2009 When considering Organizational Review, The Council … agreed that some narrowing of the scope of activities, the assigning of priorities and reduction in overall bureaucracy was desirable. While there were strong arguments for concentrating mostly on tanker-specific issues, it was also observed that many INTERTANKO members have other ship types in addition to tankers and would be likely to find non-tanker specific issues also to be of value to their membership.

7 COUNCIL MAY 2010 The Council took note of a template for 15 principle work items for the purpose of assisting the Council in determining the scope of INTERTANKO activities and priorities The Chairman … said that it remained the intention to table a comprehensive proposal for the Work Plan ahead of the Council meeting in October with the purpose of confirming the work plan items, goals and priorities for the following year at that meeting. It was suggested that high level items should be kept to a limited number

8 COUNCIL OCTOBER 2010 Approved INTERTANKO Workplan and high priority work items for 2011 Requested the Executive Committee to oversee the development of detailed workplans for high priority work items.
